Counting Down To 2010

Hey guys. Be prepared to bid 2009 goodbye and welcome 2010! Counting down now...

How has the year 2009 been for me? Good? Bad? There are both goods and bads of course, but i can only remember those good precious moments for they are important and will always stay with me. Bad memories? Throw them away! Don't want to remember and don't wish to talk about it either. So just throw them out.

After about 7 hours, we will welcome the arrival of 2010.
Oh and my blog will officially be 2 years old. 2008 till now. Wow, i am actually blogging for 2 years. Thats awesome!

Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.
The best things in life are unexpected - because there were no expectations.

Bleach your shoes!

Hey guys. Okay as i was saying, my adidas shoes somehow turned yellow. Hasn't realised it until i wore it to band today. OMG what is happening to my shoes! The front part of it has start to turned yellow! I just manage to bleach my shoes successfully using this brandless product. I thought it was going to fail but somehow it worked!

You must be wondering why am i doing all these? Well, because i love this shoes.
This shoes is bloody damn expensive and i was overjoyed when my Er jie bought this for me.
Theres this saying that goes like this. "Everyone should have a pair of good shoes because this pair of shoes will bring you to many beautiful places."

Okay enough of all the craps and let's have a look at the amazing change when i bleach my shoes.

Okay maybe you cannot differentiate base on the above picture.

This should make it clearer. Don't get me wrong. They are both the same pair of shoes of course!
Basically, the pair on the right looks yellowish. I don't know why but it seems like all Adidas shoes turns yellow after sometime, including my brother's shoes.

The pair that is on the left looks much whiter right? Haha, now you know how you can save your shoes by bleaching it.

How many more days till school starts?

I just realised it's just 5 days till school starts. Unbelievable isn't it? Don't doubt yourself because i myself can't believe it either. 2010 is going to be another new beginning for me.

Speaking of 2010, i am officially gonna be an upper sec student. Sounds good? Nah, that means my secondary school year is going to end really really soon. Another 2 years and thats it. Bye East Spring. Haha.

Having said so, i'm all excited and ready for school! Everything is ready!

I'm back to band after missing for 3 practices due to certain reasons. Feeling refreshed and my mind is now filled with music, full of melodies and sometimes i hymn to the tune too. Really hope all the new batch of east spring newbies, the sec 1, will make band your choice of cca. If you love music, love to make music and most importantly, ENJOY being surrounded by music, then band is the right choice for you. Oh yeah and it's no more East Spring Military Band. From 2010 onwards, we will be called East Spring Symphonic Band. How cool is that. Symphonic sounds big and powerful to me. Haaaa.

Went to today's practice and oh boy, i was late. I woke up on time. I thought it was still early so i dilly dally here and there and by the time i sat down and had my breakfast, it was already 8.25am. Was suppose to reach there by 8.30am. Oh dear i had to like gobble down and speed drink my milo then rush to school. Along the way, i felt really weird for no reason. Luckily i was not stopped by the irritating security guard as i speed walk and tries to avoid him. This is what he will say if he manage to catch you.

Security: "Girl, why are you here?"
Joanna: "CCA"
Security: "What cca?"
Joanna: "BAND"

Okay i think i'm gonna end this post here. Oh wait just one more thing. My adidas school shoe turned yellow! The front part. Fook fook fook. Searching for solutions to make it white again.

It wasn't a convincing win though.

Hey guys. Yesterday was another soccer night at home. The schedule was pretty tight as you can see because they had just had their previous match last saturday and on monday, they had another. Chelsea was up against Fulham at home, Stamford Bridge.

After much struggling, we won eventually. 2 - 1. However, though we'd won, i don't think it's a convincing win. If its not for the own goal by smalling, the match could have ended with a draw.
Having said so, Chelsea was the better team that day and so they should deserve the win.

First, for the team line up. There's quite a number of changes in the line up.
Petr Cech, Ferreira, Carvalho, Terry, Zhirkov, Mikel, Ballack, Lampard, Joe Cole, Kalou and Drogba.
Substitudes : Hilario, Ivanovic, Alex, A.cole, Belletti, Kakuta, Sturridge.

Man of the match has got to be none other than Drogba, who is always scoring for the club.
It was a fantastic header from him. No one was there to defend him and he easily headed it in at the 73rd minute. I heaved a sigh of relief right after he scored. Gera goaled at the 4th minute for fulham and i was pissed off. Drogba's goal saved Chelsea. It was a match we cannot afford to lose or else ManUtd and Arsenal will catch up. But glad to say, Chelsea won and we stretched the points even further.

Well, there were lot of clashes here and there. First it was Cech and then Terry. Terry accidentally hit cech while trying to kick the ball away. Zhirkov foot knocked against Terry's face.

The players that performed well that day, in my opinion, were Joe Cole and Ivanovic.
Ballack was bad. So bad. He couldn't take corners and he should not be the one taking it. Give it to Lampard to take it. He is much better. Lampard isn't performing as well. Bad passes. Anyway, thats not important already as we'd won.


A Couple of saves by Fulham's goalkeeper. If not for him, Chelsea would have win this easily.
Every player in the field is equally as important. If the defender is not performing, we would lose. If the midfielder is not performing, we would lose. If the strikers is not performing, we would have no chance of scoring and therefore lose. Thats why i say, every player is equally as important.

Sezairi Sezali, Your 2009 Singapore Idol...

Oh yeah and before i forgot, the Singapore Idol of year 2009, is Sezairi Sezali.
Okay gosh, again, malay guy. From Taufik to Hady and now to Sezairi.

I am rooting for Sylvia as she has a really good personality and she sings well too.
How good will that be if we were to have a female Singapore Idol !

Anyway, Sezairi has his own unique way of singing so i must say, whoever wins, they are both great singers. I am glad that Sezairi and Sylvia are both in the finals as that means Singapore has made the right choice. They deserve that top 2 place, definitely.

The Arrival Of 2010

Hey guys. In a few days time, we are gonna say byebye to 2009 and say hello to 2010.

Looking back at 2009, lots of things has happen isn't it? Let me just state them out.

Another Draw? No way!

Hey guys. The match just ended and i am totally pissed off. Draw? Again? I don't want this.
Chelsea started off well, there were lots of chances but dang, Hart, Birmingham's goalkeeper, caught them all. Still i must say Hart did a great job today. He saved quite a lot of goals.

Lampard could have scored a couple of goals but he just missed it. Why was Zhirkov on the bench, Ancelotti should get him in. I have no idea, NO IDEA what the hell was Malouda trying to do. Chances created for him and he didn't get any single ball in the net. He was awarded a red card soon after he slides one of the opponent.

Anelka isn't playing because he was injured and his absence, in my opinion, cause quite an impact on Chelsea. He train best with Drogba and when they both play, i think Chelsea will do fine.


Joe cole should be subbed in right from the start. Starting of with Belletti sounds weird but he's doing fine, just a couple of misses. Ancelotti actually sub Lampard off. How can he make such decision. Though he isn't playing well, i still think he shouldn't be subbed off. Malouda should be the one that is subbed out.

The Match is over and the Chelsea fans in facebook feels like bashing up Ancelotti now and this match pisses us off and everything just dosen't seem right and i hate draws! and i really hope ManUtd and Arsenal would lose the upcoming match. Okay whatever. Draw is better than losing. At least we got one point.

Oh come on Chelsea, where is the blue spirit? Show it to me please !

Celebrating Christmas @ Home

Hohoho, Merry Christmas! Yup, i'm gonna update on how i celebrated christmas yesterday with my family. It's a whole lot of surprise!

Well, first of all, mom prepared her famous pork chop during dinner time.

My Er jie prepared salmon.

Okay great, i'm drooling now. While eating, we were discussing about when should be the time we open our presents. After much discussion, we decided we should do it at 8.30pm.

Finally! It's time for presents! I cannot describe how excited i was. Hahaaa.
Mom didn't manage to find the christmas tree so instead, we use this 'tree' as our christmas tree this year. Erm, looks okay?

See all the socks hanging on the tree? Yup, i thought it was just a decoration but actually it is for some sort of lucky draw prepared by my dad. Haha it was so so funny. We had to throw dice to decide who goes first and then we are allowed to pick one of the socks hanged on the tree. Dad put in money inside. Hahaa. The biggest amount is $100 and my er jie took it away. Hahaa. I got the smallest amount, $30. Haha but it was okay, most importantly, i enjoyed it.

Okay so we had to open up our presents. We sat in a circle and in front of us, were all the presents that were meant for us. So each one of us got like 4 presents. We were only allowed to open one present each time. We go like one round and it was exciting!

Mom was the first person to open her presents.

This morning, which is the 25th of December, Christmas, there was another surprise! And this surprise is from mom. Lol. I woke up today and found that there was a pair of socks on my bed. I looked inside and lol, there was a note from my mum that says Merry Christmas and there was a red packet inside with money. Hahaaa i laughed.

The Smell Of Christmas

Hey guys! Christmas is just around the corner, are you guys excited? Well for me, i can't wait for Christmas to arrive. My family isn't Christian but we made it a point that for every year, we must celebrate christmas together and exchange gifts among ourselves. My family is big and thus makes it even more exciting as there are more presents!

Okay i know it's kinda unfair because everyone, except my bro, my dad and i, is taking part in it.My dad can be excuse of course ... he don't go shopping alone and plus, he gives us the things we want so yeah, he has already given us that christmas present. Oh oh Mario Galaxy is his gift for me :) Thanks.

Okay now everyone in the house is giving Daren and i this face. "Where is our gift" I really thought of getting something for you guys but hey... most of the stuffs i think you guys will like is really expensive to me because you see, though my piggy bank has .. money, we're not working and so.. haha okay, i'm full of excuses. I will try my best to make it a point next christmas, that we will go get some stuffs for you all! Yes. I'm am pretty sure i'm gonna do this.

Looking at all our presents makes both my hands itchy... hmm answers to our questions will be revealed tomorrow, 12am. Christmas Eve.
