Man of the match : Lampard

Hey guys. Yesterday was a match against Portsmouth. I did'nt watch it as it was aired on 3am, which is pretty late already. Well, i'm glad we won. It wasn't a convincing win though, but whatever because we won in the end.

Portsmouth is placed last in the EPL table. Even so, we cannot guarantee that this match will be an easy one because the manager is Grant, which was once a chelsea manager around 2008 - 2009 period. Alright let's have a look at the team line up. Drogba was not playing because he suffered an injury during training time. He was replaced with Kalou. Carvalho was on bench, he was replaced by Alex while Deco was replaced by Joe Cole.

I'm sorry because i might not be able to point out the match facts because i did'nt watch the match. I only watch the highlights and read the report. But i believe we were the better team and that we deserve to win.

First goal was scored by Anelka. This cannot be done without Alex. It was a brilliant pass from this brazillian. Easy goal for Anelka as no one was there to defend him. Scores easily just like that. Chelsea 1 Portsmouth 0

Start of Second half. There was a penalty given to Portsmouth. O'Hara took the ball and hit Kalou and A.Cole. It landed onto Piquionne. Cech was there trying to save the ball but without avail as Piquionne shot the ball into the net. 1 - 1 now.

Finally at the 79th minute, Chelsea was given a penalty after Wilson, from portsmouth, slides Ivanovic. I was a 1 to 1 penalty. Lampard took the ball and he scores! This shot must have helped him recover from his missed against ManCity in the previous match. Finally! Lampard is back. Will really like to see Lampard score in the next match, as well as the next next match, and also the next next next match. Just every other match that comes.

We are still staying on top of the table with 40 points while ManUtd has 37 points. Followed by Arsenal and Aston Villa with 32 points each.
