(2) Ivanovic
So the fighting goes on. Finally, our super lampsy scored the leading goal. He got the ball unknowningly, steady the ball with pace, and GOAL. Best thing was, no one was there to defend him. Or even if there is, they were too slow. Lampard kicked the ball before they came to defend.
Team mates cheering for Lampard.
Sadly, that wasn't the end yet. Manchester United was furious and charge forward. 90 minute is up. I thought we'd won already and was celebrating.. never did i know that Rooney, at the 92 minute, goaled... 3 min extra time were given. Dang dang... how unlucky. Okay so that means 2 - 2. Which also means, Penalty.
Frankly speaking, i hate penalty. It is so scary. I can still remember that Terry incident. Chelsea has'nt been winning any penalties since 1998. However this time, i was confident that we could win. Main reason is because Van de sar was had his fingers injured and Foster came on to take his role. Foster did'nt perform well for the first and second half, so i suppose he won't be performing well for the penalties too. True enough, he did'nt.
I wonder what ManUnited players are thinking when they gave their shot.
First Kick Chelsea will go first as Lampard will start it out against Foster. Lampard fires a shot down the middle and beats Foster, who dove to his left. Giggs will go for United and he went right against Chelsea during the CL Final. Giggs turns and fires his shot down the middle, but Cech kicks it away. Advantage Chelsea, 1-0.
Second Kick Terry is talking to the troops, and I have a feeling he won’t be taking any penalty kicks unless absolutely necessary. Ballack is next for Chelsea and he deposits it in the lower left corner and Foster guessed correctly but couldn’t stop it. Carrick will try to get on the board for United. He goes to his right and Cech guesses correctly, but it’s just over his outstretched arm. 2-1, Chelsea
Third kick Drogba (who famously did not take part in the last shootout between these two) goes the same way Ballack did, and Foster was completely fooled. Evra will step up and he’ll try and beat Cech. His tame effort is easily saved by Cech and that was a horrible kick. That one made Berbatov’s against Everton look like a brilliant rocket of a shot. Seriously, I’m not sure what he was trying to do there. That was like a back-pass. Chelsea lead 3-1 and are clearly in the driver’s seat.
Fourth Kick Deco steps up, but wait, he hands it off to Kalou. He steps up and he beats Foster easily to the top right corner. Chelsea win, 4-1 on penalties! Congrats to them for winning the Community Shield! If the season is as exciting as this game, then we should be in for a real treat.

So and yea! Chelsea WON! Thats awesome! Great start!
Heres the player's rating on WEB.
Cech - 6
Still wearing the protective head gear but he looks much more confident than last season.
Ivanovic - 4
Played on the right and was tortured by Nani's pace and trickery. Ancelotti took him off at halftime and immediately, the Blues started showing more menace.
Terry - 6
The Chelsea captain looked to have his mind somewhere else in the first half. Not the commanding sweeper we are used to seeing.
Cole - 5
Same old question. Where is the Cole of Arsenal fame? His overlapping runs seem to have gone missing since he moved to London.
Carvalho - 7
Always a threat going forward. His quick thinking covered a lot of ground in the first half when his defenders were often caught out by the Red Devils.
Mikel - 4
Supposed to be the midfield enforcer who breaks up play. Looked more like a headless chicken running with no aim.
Essien - 6
Full of energy like he always is. Took awhile to get into the game but once he did, Chelsea looked a more compact unit.
Malouda - 5
Will he ever get back to being the same player he was at Lyon? Judging from his performance today, no.
Lampard - 8
Allowed Fletcher and Carrick to dictate play in the first half. But the midfield dynamo got better as the game went on. His shot was a result of Foster's bad goalkeeping but still, you shoot, you score!
Anelka - 5
He had a very quiet game. Not quite the same form as last season where he was the league's top goal poacher.
Drogba - 9
The Ivorian striker knew Foster was prone to errors and he never stopped harassing the youngster into committing errors. Carvalho's goal was a result of Drogba's hardwork.
Substitutes
Bosingwa - 6
Gave Chelsea a more balanced look with his attacking prowess down the right in place of Ivanovic.
Ballack - 6
Came on and showed that he is ready to play the role of midfield enforcer when called upon.
Deco - 5
Seems like Ancelotti does not have Deco as part of his starting midfield diamond formation. Needs to show his class soon if he wants to stay in London.
Kalou - 6
Scored the winning penalty. Not enough time to make any significant impact
